Bible Commentary Selection Guide
About Us

At BibleCommentarySelectionGuide.com, our mission is to help you find just the right bible commentary book to fit your study needs.  It’s that simple.

Our primary goal is not to make a lot of money, but rather to provide a forum where information about bible commentaries can be shared to improve our Bible study, and our daily walk with Jesus Christ.  With that in mind, we welcome any and all feedback about the bible commentaries listed here, or about ones that should be added.  In particular, we encourage you to submit excerpts from published reviews of the commentaries recommended here that you have read.  These may be posted on the individual product pages to help our visitors make their commentary decisions.  We also welcome your brief comments about any of these commentaries that you have used.  We do not have a “chat room” capability on this site, but we promise to read your submissions and post them, as appropriate.

If you do use our site to identify commentaries that you would like to purchase, we request that you buy them through this site.  We have tried to keep our prices very affordable (usually equal to or lower than Amazon.com).  Your purchase will help to defray the costs of running this site, and help to keep the information here up to date for your and others’ future reference.

Our founder, John Dahlof, has spent many years collecting and using bible commentaries, both before and after earning a Masters degree from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul.  We hope that his experience in selecting commentaries can help you, but he has not relied solely upon his own judgment.  He has also consulted the following publications, and we sincerely thank these authors for their wisdom:
